Today was the perfect day for our first neighbourhood walk.  We got to see first hand how far you can
go when you walk 1km.  It was a great way to wrap up the end of our linear measurement unit and the
students seemed to really enjoy the fresh air!

Next up in Math, TIME.  We will explore time for the remainder of this week and most of next week.
We will be focusing on the Curriculum expectations posted below:
  • read time using analogue clocks, to the nearest five minutes, and using digital clocks (e.g., 1:23
  • means twenty-three minutes after one o’clock), and represent time in 12-hour notation;

  • solve problems involving the relationships between minutes and hours, hours and days, days
  • and weeks, and weeks and years, using a variety of tools (e.g., clocks, calendars, calculators).

In Language, we are working on adverbs this week and descriptive writing.
In Health, we are exploring the Canada Food Guide and Processed and Unprocessed foods.
Have a Great week!
Mrs. T.
