We have just completed our unit on Two-digit Multiplication and Long Division. This unit can be challenging for students. You will find over the next month or so that the Math Review will include both multiplication and division questions. Encourage your children to complete the questions and then check the answer with a calculator.  If they get the answer wrong ask them to go over their work step by step to see where the error happened.  

In Multiplication, we learned four different methods to solve problems.  Your child is encouraged to use any of these methods.  I will post a copy of the anchor charts we used in class.  

There will be short weekly multiplication quizzes and separate division quizzes in April and May to help solidify these skills.  

Today we started our new math unit in Patterning and Algebra.
