Wow! I can't believe that Thanksgiving weekend is fast approaching.  It has been busy here since Meet the the teacher night.  
In Language and Religion this week we are focusing on our Autumn poem, Thanksgiving and Digital Citizenship.  We know that we are very lucky and blessed to live here.  
In Mathematics, we are exploring rounding numbers to the nearest tens and hundreds place.  We are getting close to completing our Place Value unit.  There will be a short assessment Thursday next week.  I will send home a sample assessment Thursday this week.  It is due back next Wednesday.  We will correct it together on Wednesday and then we'll be ready for the assessment the following day.
In Science we are exploring Forces.  This week we discovered different types of forces i.e. gravitational, magnetism, muscular, electrostatic, and friction.  
The October Book order was due Oct 2.  Some students requested that I give them one more day, so please return any orders by Oct. 3.  Please remember that I can not accept cash.  You may either pay online or send in a cheque with your order.
Finally, looking ahead to next week.  We will have our first whole school liturgy to celebrate Thanksgiving on Tuesday, October 9 at 10:30 in the gym.  All are welcome.
